Hungarian is a well documented language, it could be one of the most important source of Western Old Turkic, yet there are only a few taking it into consideration. There was a vivid and long lasting contact between the Hungarian people and the Turkic ones as reflected in present day Hungarian vocabulary. What is much more interesting and makes one think is that the language contact exerted deep influence also on phonetics, morphology, sintax and semantics. Hungarian language history bears witness to it, as well as traditional culture. Being a resolute researcher of the topic I'd like to call more attention to it.
